As of Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Prime Equipment Group, Inc. of Columbus, OH has entered into an agreement to purchase Gainesville, GA based Diversified Machine Products.

DMP will continue with their daily business and manufacturing activities under current management from their Gainesville, GA facility.

PRIME Receives Visit from Congressman: Jobs/Labor Force Concerns

Congressman Rob Portman paid a visit to Prime Equipment Group on Tuesday, May 18th. His visit was prompted by the local and nationwide concern of creating jobs and keeping small "mom-and-pop" businesses alive in a slowly recovering economy. PEG President Michael Gasbarro met with congressman Portman to express his concerns as a small business owner and employer regarding the need for skilled and responsible workers, the challenges faced by small to medium businesses to stay alive, and the issues that impact our industry.

Congressman Portman toured the Prime facility and talked to various employees to gain an understanding of Prime's business. He will be visiting many other businesses in and around Ohio as part of his 2010 senate campaign.
